If I’m in town, and we have a service… I’ll be there. It doesn’t matter what’s going on in my life. 99% of the time, I’m there. I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve been in town and missed a service in the last few years. Not months but years. I need to be in my church, I love going to church. So I was heading to Niagara falls this past weekend to attend a conference that was being held at the Hilton Fallsview Hotel. Now we are pretty good level Hilton Honors members and we usually stay either Hilton or Marriott brand properties. So I was pretty excited, I know the hotel is supposed to be pretty nice and recently completed a large renovation.

I called the hotel to book a room and asked about the conference rate, was told that it was a great rate but on a double queen room. Well if you know me, in a nice hotel… that just wont do. So I booked an upgraded suite that overlooked the falls. Why would you go to a hotel called ‘Fallsview’ without having a great view of the falls. Just makes sense, right? Right! Read more »

I own a big truck! I like my big truck, it’s fun to drive. On top of that, it’s great for work and it hauls like a dream! I bought it from one of the local dealerships here in London. I’ve been really happy with it for the most part, had a few little minor issues that I don’t want to get into at the moment.

A few weeks ago, I had to get it in to get an oil change and while I was there I asked them to take a look at my driver door, because it was squeaking up a storm! Well my great service tech, really tries to take care of me.

I had a lady from one of our local businesses in my home the other day and she was going over a proposal for some new equipment in my home. While she pulling out her laptop to go over the proposal, she proudly pulled out a brand new MacBookAir! When I say, she was proud, she was PROUD! She gleamed over this piece of beautifully milled aluminum (If you’re a big mac fan… you read that in Johnny Ive’s voice — Al-U-Minium) and was very happy to show it to me. Earlier this week I was doing one of my favorite things, talking with my good friend Andy Oudmann on his radio show, London Today, on AM1290 here in London. He had brought me on to talk about a potential issue with Wi-Fi in the classroom, which it a post for another day. Once we finished that discussion, Andy asked if I could stay and talk about something else after a commercial break, which I agreed to. When we got back from commercial, Andy told me he wanted to talk to me about a CTV report that focused on the labour conditions at FOXCONN’s factories in China that were specifically directed at Apple.
