Don’t KILL The Tradeshow

I just wrote a blog post for System Contractor News, a leading industry magazine. Here’s a sample:

InfoComm is only days away now. Gosh, manufacturers are filling up my inbox with marketing materials, some good… some laughable. Everyone is getting ready for the show and looking forward to all the tech goodies strewn across the Las Vegas Convention Center show floor.

And yet throughout all this excitement there is the constant chatter about the use and validity of the trade show experience. You just have to look at the InfoComm floor plan to see that some big names aren’t showing up……

Customer Education

One of the biggest issues I run into almost on a daily basis, is the lack of customer education in our biz. Just before Christmas, I was helping a twitter friend with some insight as he was planning to purchase a new TV. He was shopping at the dreadful big box store. I won’t mention which store, but you know who you are big blue!

I hate the cable company

So for the last 3 or 4 days, my cable has been going crazy. I can’t get certain channels, my on-demand won’t work. Agggggg! I wasn’t able to watch the CBS sunday football line up, and let me tell you… That is cutting to my heart. Don’t mess with a mans football, that ain’t right! Ya hear me!
